Calling oneself a professional doesn't really make one a professional. As a Northwestern Mutual financial advisor, professionalism is defined not only by the measure of one's experience, education and accreditation, but by one's character and professional standard of practice in supporting clients as a trusted financial expert.

Through personal commitment, professional associations, accreditations and continuing education, I have worked hard to establish a reputation as a respected professional and to gain the trust of clients. What do all those initials mean? It means I have invested the time in additional education above and beyond what I am required to do in the multiple areas and earned these designations:

  • CLU®- Chartered Life Underwriter. CLU®is the major professional credential for the life insurance industry, sponsored by The American College.  This designation requires the individual comply with The American College's Code of Ethics and Procedure and agrees to fulfill ongoing continuing-education requirements. Completed and have continued to maintain proficiency since November 2001.

  • ChFC®- Chartered Financial Consultant. ChFC®focuses on a personalized financial planning process. Completed and have continued to maintain proficiency since February 2002.

  • CFP®- Certified Financial Planner. CFP®professionals specialize in insurance, investments, retirement planning, estate planning, and financial planning. Completed and have continued to maintain proficiency since January 2003.

  • AEP®– Accredited Estate Planner. The AEP®designation is awarded by the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils to professionals who meet stringent experience and education qualifications including two graduate level courses administered by The American College. Completed and have continued to maintain proficiency since July 2003.

  • CASL®- Chartered Advisor for Senior Living. The CASL®designation prepares professionals to lead clients from middle age through retirement and wealth management and transfer.Completed and have continued to maintain proficiency since May 2006.
